Thursday, December 25, 2008 SC Local Health Board is 1st Hall of Fame awardee
THE Local Health Board of San Carlos City is the first Hall of Fame awardee of the Center for Health Development-Western Visayas after it launched its Hall of Fame award to a deserving local government unit that has been conferred the highest citation thrice in the local health board category.
San Carlos won as Outstanding Local Health Board in the region in 2003, 2005 and 2007.
City Mayor Eugenio Jose Lacson received the award from Department of Health (DOH) OIC Regional Director Dr. Ariel Rivera during the Annual Regional Awarding for Stakeholders and Partners last December 16 at the Iloilo Grand Hotel.
The city's Local Health Board also received a Plaque of Excellence from the DOH Center for Health Development-Western Visayas for having been conferred the Outstanding City Health Board award in the 2008 Nationwide Search for Jewels of Local Health Governance.
D'Best-CA, Inter-Local Health Zone of the 1st District of Negros Occidental currently chaired by City Mayor Eugenio Jose V. Lacson was also awarded a plaque of excellence for winning the nationwide search for Jewels of Local Health Governance-CY 2008, Inter-Local Health Zone category.
Meanwhile, a Plaque of Excellence was also awarded to Mayor Lacson in recognition of his performance as a champion in local health development and health service delivery in San Carlos City.
