All Saints Day preparations on

PREPARATIONS are underway for the observance of All Souls Day and All Saints Day in the city as Mayor Bernardo Vergara recently created an executive committee to oversee the "Oplan Kaluluwa" activities to ensure the peaceful and orderly observance in the city.

The mayor heads the committee with Councilor Galo Weygan and City Administrator Jose Taguba as action officer and coordinator.

The members include Councilors Leandro Yangot Jr and Braulio Yaranon, Police Director Villamor Bumanglag, City Health Officer Florence Reyes, Barangay Affairs head Laurence Adube, Permits and Licensing Division head Cristio Lagyop, communications group representative Perfecto Itliong Jr., Engr. Leo Bernardez, Engr. Nestor Nicolas of the City Engineering District and Pepito Avena of the City Administrator's Office.

Punong barangays Bernardo Calatan of Irisan, Corazon Arizala of San Luis Village, Alejandro Nigos of City Camp Proper, Vidal Ponseca of Lourdes Proper, Natividad Alim of Cresencia Village, Protacio Macauyan of San Roque Village, Josel Alangsab of City Camp Central, Lourdes Tamayo of Lower Lourdes, Alberto Bravo of Lower Rock Quarry, Angelita Padilla of Quezon Hill Proper and Lourdes Pedroso of Upper Quezon Hill were also named as members of the committee.

The committee will formulate the necessary policies, guidelines and measures for the implementation of the Oplan Kaluluwa to ensure the peaceful and orderly observance of the feast of the dead and the saints.' Aileen Refuerzo
