Anilao execs to visit Baguio for 'lakbay-aral'
By Margelyn Akay and Dolores Cadingan

TOP LOCAL officials of Anilao, Iloilo, headed by Vice Mayor Suzette Carbon, will visit Baguio for a lakbay-aral tour from February 10 to 17 this year.

In a letter to Mayor Bernardo Vergara, Carbon said that the group chose Baguio as one of the important areas to conduct their study tour since it is one of the Galing Pook awardees.

She said that they also intend to study the city's livelihood programs, which they hope to duplicate in their hometown.

Carbon also requested for a briefing on the city's award-winning Eco-Walk program, which is an indigeneous culture-based environmental program for children empowerment in Baguio City.

"At the outset, on-site visitations and observations would provide a better perspective as motivation for the development process and progress of our municipality," she stressed.
