Council commends INC on its 89th founding day
By Patrick Rillorta

THE City Council, headed by Vice Mayor Betty Lourdes Tabanda, unanimously approved a resolution extending their congratulations to Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) on its 89th founding anniversary in the country and the 35th anniversary of its foreign mission in 81 countries and territories abroad comprising 181 races.

Tabanda said that since its founding, INC has continuously extended invaluable contributions through its various humanitarian services, which include the giving out of free medical and dental services through the Lingap sa Mamamayan Project and their continuous support to the city's clean and green drive by undertaking city-wide street cleaning and massive tree-planting activities through its Bukod-Kadiwa-Binhi groups.

"The Iglesia ni Cristo has likewise continuously served as a beacon for many people to embrace a reformed and righteous society through evangelism, stewardship, religious tenets and practices, which serve as guide towards a moral and upright citizenry," Tabanda added.
