Franchising seminar set
THE Baguio-Benguet Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (BBCCII), in coordination with the Philippine Franchising Association (PFA), will conduct a one-day regional venture facilitation and resource linkaging seminar in collaboration with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) at the Hotel Villa Rosal along Gen. Luna Road Thursday.
BBCCII president Alfonso Lao said the seminar will be done through their Franchising Accelerate the Sustainable Transformation of (Fast) Venture Project "wherein technical and resource providers will be tapped to present various windows which small and medium enterprises (SMEs) may tap to be able to complete the franchise development loop."
"In this seminar, identified franchiseable SMEs and other franchise enthusiasts will be encouraged to attend at discounted rates to recoup administrative expenses that shall be incurred during preliminary and actual activities," he said.
Lao added that the seminar would be an educational session for would-be franchisers from the Cordillera and the Ilocos regions, which aims to orient "franchiseable SMEs" on what is franchising and how it can be used to strengthen and expand their businesses.
He said SME operators would also be oriented on the franchise development process and how, in the event their businesses will graduate into franchises, it would allow them to sell their concepts. (ENO)
