Rimban: Soul mates and twin souls

DUE to insistent public demand, I will explain the esoteric philosophy of soul mates and twin souls, a topic eagerly awaited by our readers. The transcendental topics about love seem to ignite undying passion in readers from all walks of life. So here we are, and enjoy the ride.
In the esoteric philosophy of the romantic mystics of East and West, there are taught to be generally three levels of relationships. These are karmic partners, soul mates and twin souls.
Wow. I can sense the fires of passion that has been ignited into our readers.
If you have a relative, friend, or acquaintance with whom you have a difficult relationship with, then this person is a karmic partner. Karmic partners are souls who have issues from previous lifetimes. They may have been enemies. They may have been partners, but their partnership has gone awry in a previous life. They may have been relatives, but owe many psychological debts to each other. If you had a relationship like this in a previous lifetime, then the emotional tones and soul memories of your difficult interactions are retained in this present life. A karmic partner can be anyone. And furthermore, you have many karmic partners! Now, dear reader, close your eyes, try to imagine your significant others. If you feel like a particular relationship has been very difficult and seem to evoke unnatural feelings of hate, then start to explore. This might be a karmic partnership.
Rivals like Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell are karmic partners.
Enemies like Andres Bonifacio and Emilio Aguinaldo are karmic partners.
On the other hand, there is a relationship which is smooth, loving and has a harmonious quality to it. This is the soul mate. Soul mates have had good relationships in previous lives. They shared many lifetimes together and so are very compatible. Soul mates are souls who have been friends before, relatives before, good partners before, and even lovers before. You also have many soul mates. The following are examples.
Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan are friends, and good partners. Their partnership was instrumental in creating the fabled Chicago Bull dynasty in basketball. They are soul mates.
Pierre and Marie Curie were husband and wife. Both were great chemists and luminaries in the field of science. Their partnership was instrumental in their chemical discoveries and achievements. They are soul mates.
The incredible mystic Plotinus, one of greatest mystics of all time, and his faithful disciple Porphyry were friends and fellow masters of the spiritual path. They were the builders of Neoplatonism. They are soul mates.
Dear reader, take a moment to consider your significant others. If a certain relationship is so stable as to have a spiritual quality in it, then it is a candidate for the soul mate level. Anyone can be your soul mate: your husband or wife, your girlfriend or boyfriend, your lover, your parent or child. It is important to consider that soul mates are not primarily romantic interactions. They are to be understood as spiritual partnerships.
And now, the legendary partnership called the twin soul.
It is said everything was created in pairs. Somewhere around the world there is a soul that is your other half, your perfect complement, the missing link of your being. This is the twin soul. You have absolute compatibility, perfect correspondence and incredible chemistry.
Two of the greatest poets of all time, Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning were husband and wife. To literature novices, Elizabeth is the author of the immortal poem "How Do I Love Thee, Let me count the ways......" They are twin souls. It is said their friends could feel the aura of their undying love and incredible chemistry even while entering their house. Their love is so pure that the ambience of their dwelling retained a trace of their bond. It was such a beautiful, loving marriage, already immortalized in song and poetry. And their friends could feel their love radiating in the very air! Oh, such love!
Another example is Edward the first of England and his wife, Eleanor. They are twin souls, too.
Understanding soul relationships is a complex subject that is both intriguing and rewarding. What I have done is simply to introduce this field. I will elaborate more on this in the future.
