ABS-CBN's 'Kapamilya Fiesta' storms Baguio
FIESTA fever is still on and at its peak amidst the rainy season for ABS-CBN Regional Network Group.
From down south, after its first and second stop in Cebu and Cagayan de Oro, the "Kapamilya Fiesta" brought a back-to-back public service and all-out entertainment last August 5 at SM Rambakan Drive in Baguio City.
The festivities kicked off with a mass immediately followed by a medical mission spearheaded by the TV Patrol Northern Luzon Baguio news team.
Through the "Lingkod Kapamilya" activity, nearly 200 patients were serviced through the help of volunteer doctors and other medical practitioners from the SLU Hospital of the Sacred Heart's OB-Gyne and Pediatrics departments and the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center's pediatric department.
The variety show, hosted by "Northern Catch (NC) Atin 'To' hosts Syrel, Kiko, Dennis and Andrea, boosted the festive mood, featuring the charming Brenda Fox and upcoming balladeer Aldred Gatchalian of the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition and powered up by the Crystal Voice of Asia Sheryn Regis.
Thousands flocked during the free concert party in line with 103.1 MOR Baguio's fifth anniversary celebration, featuring Baguio's best local bands - Rewind and Clutch Brewers. Topping the highlights was the power-packed performance of no less than the brand that popularized Noypi and a lot more - Bamboo.
Adding color to the whole-day fun-filled fiesta were big inflatable for kids, videoke for music lovers and film showing featuring "Don't give up on us" - one of the biggest hits ever produced by Star Cinema.
The "Kapamilya Fiesta" activities are ABS-CBN's way of thanking viewers and advertisers for their continuous patronage.
Mayor Braulio Yaranon believed that ABS-CBN "Kapamilya Fiesta" adds to the tourist attraction for the City of Baguio, especially in its advocacy to channel the talents and positive energies of the youth into worthwhile activities.
The next leg of "Kapamilya Fiesta" would be held in Dagupan City on September 15.
