Students, teachers confab set in Baguio
THE Children's Museum and Library Inc. (CMLI), in cooperation with the Department of Education (DepEd), will hold the 27th CMLI Annual Grade School Convention on September 1 to 5 and the 48th Annual National Convention of CMLI Junior Members and Teacher Advisers on October 26 to 30, both at the Teachers' Camp.
In a letter to Mayor Braulio Yaranon, CMLI youth director and officer-in-charge Fr. Orlando Aceron said thousands of students and teachers from all over the country are expected to join the activities focusing on the theme, "The Nation's Call: Morally Committed and Responsible Youth".
Highlights include a commission discussion and group dynamic session featuring modules on leadership training, values formation, interpersonal relations and communications, and cultural performances showcasing individual and collective talents.
The letter added that a keynote address by a prominent national figure, competitions for excellence, on-the-spot poster making, OPM singing contest, pop quiz hot shot, workshops, symposium, sports fest, socials and other activities would also be held during the event.
Aceron also requested the mayor to welcome delegates of both conventions. (GK)
