SM celebrates 97th Baguio Day
DISCOVER Baguio's rich culture, art, and beauty as SM City Baguio celebrates the 97th Baguio Charter Day.
Urbanization in Baguio started in the early 1900, which inspired William Cameron Forbes, who later became governor general of the Philippines, to turn it into the archipelago's summer capital. A milestone in Baguio's development was achieved when it was made a chartered city in September 1909.
With its cool mountain air, pine trees, and scenic sights, Baguio is a city like no other in the Philippines. More than that, it showcases the rich culture of the Cordilleras, and the wonderful upland bounty of vegetables, strawberries, flowers, and coffee.
