Police academy entrance test set
THE Baguio City National High School (BCNHS) is among the 22 venues nationwide that will serve as testing areas for the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) admission test on October 29, starting at 7 a.m.
This is stated in the communication from Interior City Director Jose Rapanut to Acting Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr.
After complying with the requirements, including the entrance exams, successful candidates are admitted to pursue a four-year course in Bachelor of Science in Public Safety (BSPS) at the police academy campus in Silang, Cavite.
Qualified applicants should be a natural-born Filipino citizen, of good moral character, male or female, single, with no child or children and should be born within March 15, 1985 to March 14, 1990.
Male applicants should be at least 162.5 cms (5 ft. 4 in) in height while female applicants should be 157.5 cms (5 ft. 2 in), and at least in fourth year high school prior to admission. Weight should be not more or less than five kilograms of the standard weight measurement.
The applicant must be mentally and physically fit and able to perform; for males, 10 pull-ups, 40 2-minute push-ups, 55 2-minute sit-ups, run 100 meters in 17 seconds, and clock 4:30 in a 1,000-meter run. Female applicants should be able to perform 40-second pull-ups, 35 2-minute push-ups, 50 2-minute sit-ups, run 100 meters in 20 seconds, and clock in 5:30 in a 1,000-meter run.
Applicant should have no criminal, administrative or civil case before any prosecutor's office or any court, and should not have been a former cadet of the PNPA or other service academies.
Application forms are available at the Baguio City Police main office, the City Mayor's Office, or may be downloaded at www.pnpa.edu.ph. Applications should be received by the PNPA Registrar on or before September 30 at Camp General Mariano Castañeda in Silang, Cavite.
