THE PNP, in coordination with the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), will hold the 2nd PNP Special Sweepstakes Draw on January 28 with the theme "Itaguyod ang Pambansang Pulisya ng Pilipinas para sa Maunlad at Maayos na Pamayanan".
Police Regional Director Raul Gonzales said the draw is for the construction of police stations in selected places around the country and to support the PNP Legal Assistance Program.
As to the benefits of the fund-raising project, Gonzales said 80 percent of the gross sales would go to the charity fund and eight percent as rebates on volume sales.
The project also aims to help augment the livelihood of PNP members and their families as sellers because the seller would get 28 percent or P140 for every booklet sold while five percent would be given as a seller's prize for every winning ticket.
The retail price of each booklet is P10 per share and P500 per booklet of 50 tickets.
The first prize is P20 million, second prize is P5 million, and third prize is P3 million. Just like in the past PCSO draws, all major and consolation prizes in this special draw would also be tax-free.
