RANG-AY Bank launched its 15th branch in La Trinidad, Benguet on January 8, less than three months after the opening of its branch in Naguilian, La Union.
The La Trinidad branch is located at the ground floor of Pelizloy Centrum Bldg. along Km. 5. Earlier, the bank also opened branches in Balaoan (in April) and Bacnotan (in August), La Union.
La Trinidad will be a full-service bank that will offer a wide range of banking and financial services from deposit-generation to lending operations for micro, small, medium enterprises (SMEs) and instant salary loans for public school teachers, Department of Education (DepEd) support personnel, local government employees, barangay officials, and Social Security System (SSS) pensioners.
Foreign and domestic remittance services are also offered by the branch through Western Union, RCBC Telemoney, Pinoy Express Padala, BDO Remit, and Globe G-Cash.
Abner Tremor, a former officer-in-charge of the bank's Downtown branch, has been designated to head the new branch.
His staff members include Christopher Karganilla, microfinance account officer; Teodelyn Langaoen, deposit assistant; Florence JoyDiasan, bookkeeper; and Charina Padlan, teller/cashier.
With 15 branches, Rang-ay Bank remains the largest and fastest growing rural bank in the Ilocos and Cordillera regions. Aside from its head office in San Fernando City and its new branches, Rang-ay has banking offices in the cities of Baguio, Dagupan, Candon, Vigan and Downtown San Fernando as well as in the towns of Agoo and Tubao (La Union) and in Sta. Cruz and Burgos in Ilocos Sur.
Last year, Rang-ay Bank celebrated its 50th anniversary with a grand launching of its Golden Jubilee at the Oasis Resort in San Fernando City and the implementation of special projects for its branch communities.
