The MPSA is within the company's leased mining claims LLC-V-163-165 and LLC-V-323-327 of the Nevada Group, and covers a period of three years.

Earlier, residents of Camp 3 sought the intervention of the Municipal Council regarding the mining company's application, which then initiated a dialogue between the company and the affected community.

As a result of the consultation done, Philex was asked to implement development works in the affected barangay. Among these is the provision of potable water and construction of irrigation for Sitios Alang and Torre and to the Camp 3 Elementary School (C3ES).

The firm will also fund the construction of the Colocol-Don-oy farm-to-market road and the provision of electricity to the Torre Elementary School (TES).

Assistance for the development of agro-forestry programs and livelihood projects for the affected communities were also requested from the company. (JC)
