This was disclosed on Wednesday by the Timpuyog ng Baguio, which revealed that Vergara formally took his oath as an official member of the Kampi in Manila last Tuesday with Kampi president Chris Villafuerte and Baguio Representative Mauricio Domogan witnessing the induction rites.

In a cellphone interview with Vergara last night, he confirmed his acceptance into Kampi and explained that although Domogan was still with the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD), they will be joining the same political slate in the election campaign with Councilor Edilberto Tenefrancia as vice mayoralty bet.

He refused to say who their council bets will be in the meantime saying that it will be announced on Saturday.
