Saturday, May 26, 2007 Lawmaker calls for truce after poll proclamation By Rimaliza Opiña
"BURY what was said."
Thus said Baguio City Representative Mauricio Domogan, after being proclaimed as winning candidate in the congressional race here, saying it is now time to start working for the city's development.
The lawmaker's pronouncement came in the heels of a protest questioning his win, on allegations that he was involved in vote-buying.
Claiming that the Timpuyog ti Baguio campaigned fairly, Domogan said he is looking forward to a better working relationship with other officials of the local government.
Recalling that development has been stalled because he and Mayor Braulio Yaranon have publicly engaged in arguments, he said he is enthusiastic that this time, development projects would be implemented.
Domogan and winning candidates of the Timpuyog celebrated their win with their supporters and other well-wishers at the Baguio Athletic Bowl.
