Police in need of new recruits

THE Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera would be accepting Police Officer 1 applicants for their regular recruitment quota for 2007 on May 28.

Chief Superintendent Raul Gonzales, PRO-Cordillera director, said since they were given a quota of only 50 slots, those who would successfully pass the recruitment requirements would be assigned to the maneuver unit of the Regional Mobile Group (RMG).

All interested applicants are advised to personally report to the recruitment section of the PRO-Cordillera Personnel and Human Resource Development Division (CPHRDD) located in the administration building from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Applicants would be required to bring with them their CSC Form 212 (Revised 2005); their birth certificate authenticated by the National Statistics Office; their eligibility authenticated by either by the National Police Commission (Napolcom), the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) or the Civil Service Commission (CSC);

Two pieces 2x2 black and white pictures indicating the applicant's name, their transcript of scholastic records and diploma duly authenticated by the applicant's school registrar; a clearances from the barangay, local police station, regional trial court, municipal trial court and National Bureau of Investigation; and a medical certificate issued by the local health officer.

An applicant must be a Filipino citizen; must be a person of good moral character; must have passed the psychiatric or psychological, drug and physical test to be administered by the PNP or by any Napolcom-accredited government hospital for the purpose of determining the status of appointee's physical and mental health; must possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized learning institution; and must be eligible in accordance with the standards set by Napolcom.

Applicants must also not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government; must not have been convicted by final judgment of any offense or crime involving moral turpitude; must be at least one meter and 62 centimeters in height for male and one meter and 57 centimeters for female; must weigh not more or less than five kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his or her height, age and sex; and must not be less than 21 nor more than 30 years of age.
