Sunday, September 09, 2007 PRO-Cor accepting recruit applicants
ALTHOUGH the Attrition Recruitment Program for 2007 is still awaiting confirmation by the National Police Commission, applications may already be accepted at the Baguio City Police Office and the different provincial police offices within the region.
Police Chief Eugene Martin, director of the Police Regional Office in the Cordillera, explained this was to facilitate the initial screening on the mandatory minimum qualifications, the evaluation of applications on their completeness and the authenticity of the documentary requirements.
He said new police recruits would be scheduled to take their oaths on December 1 this year.
"Interested applicants must accomplish the initial documentary requirements and place them in one folder with white tabbings before they can be submitted to their respective city or provincial police offices for the initial screening or evaluation," Martin said.
Documents to be submitted include a duly-accomplished Civil Service Commission Form 212 (Revised 2005), the applicant's birth certificate as authenticated by the National Statistics Office, the results of the applicant's eligibility examination as authenticated by the Napolcom, Professional Regulations Commission or CSC, two copies of 2" x 2" black and white picture with name tag, the transcript of scholastic records and diploma duly authenticated by the school registrar, clearances from the barangay, local police station, Regional Trial Court, Municipal Trial Court and the National Bureau of Investigation as well as a medical certificate issued by the local health officer.
The clearance for the conduct of the actual recruitment and selection process, which would start with a physical agility test, a neuro-psychiatric and other tests, shall be announced later.
The acceptance and evaluation of applicants' folders would be limited so as not to commit violations of election laws, Napolcom and PNP policies on recruitment.
