Benedicta Mangadap, trade and industry development specialist of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial office, said those who confirmed their participation include Ayatu’s Crafts, Praj’s, Nessaj and Jenny’s, Mikah and Kinwa, Kalinga Woodworks and Furniture Association Incorporated, NORREF, Our Tribe Food Products, Kalinga Treat, Mananig and BITICK.
They will join the other Cordilleran entrepreneurs who would be participating in the event, designed to exclusively promote and showcase Cordillera’s unique arts, crafts, special skills, resources and attractions.
“Our local entrepreneurs will be displaying Kalinga’s One Town One Product (Otop) goods to include the three brewed coffee -- Kalinga Brew, Mananig Wild coffee and Kalinga Blend -- along with the Unoy upland inorganic rice,” she said.
They will also be showcasing loom woven materials, costumes, bags, accessories, several gift items and locally-made furniture.
Mangadap said the fair is part of the DTI’s assistance programs for small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs) in support to the SME development agenda of the government.
The DTI also extended its support to several SMEs in terms of training, marketing, product development and promotion, taking their enterprises to higher business performance as indicated by their increasing sales and expanding market.
