Tuesday, February 19, 2008 Cayading: Is Entrepreneurship For Everyone? By Trinidad Cayading D'Biz News
WELL, entrepreneurship is indeed rewarding but it is not really for everyone. The character and personality of an entrepreneur would spell the difference between going into business and venturing into entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship is larger in scope; it encompasses the idea of just going into business.
The entrepreneur exhibits a lot of hard work, determination, persistence, passion and creativity. It is beyond money, it is beyond profit. It is doing things that one loves to do.
That is why an entrepreneur never gets tired. There is no TGIF (Thank God It's Friday).
Because he loves what he is doing. It is not a burden nor is it boring work for him since it is his passion.
He makes product that has value. He always creates a new game. When everybody saying it can never be done, the entrepreneur says there is another way of doing it, let's do it this way. He can see beyond what is being offered and done in the market. He sees opportunities when everybody else sees a problem.
Thus, entrepreneurship is an approach, an attitude, translated into behavior. It is a state of mind. It is doing what one likes to do. That is why the business becomes something that he lives, something that is his.
Most successful entrepreneurs would tell you, that they started their business not really because of an opportunity or an idea, but because they want to do it and in the process, the want to do it becomes I love to do it, 24/7. Truly, it is the heart dictates the desire to go into entrepreneurship, not the mind that rationalizes everything.
The entrepreneurial path is for those who dare accept the challenges of looking at things differently, creatively and breaking new ground, taking calculated risks, and doing business, which is beyond just managing the business. Entrepreneurship is not for everyone! It is another option. It is the option that successful and great entrepreneur embrace and live to act upon.
