Arroyo Watch: Sun.Star blog on President Arroyo

At the Baguio Convention Center on April 22 is the women summit. It aims to harness the participation of women in capability building projects as well as to discuss the prevailing issues and concerns, which affect women today.

The summit is scheduled at 1 to 5 p.m.

In line with the observance of Earth Day, also scheduled at the same time and on the same day is a symposium on how to conserve the Balili River at the multipurpose lobby of the City Hall.

The Baguio and La Trinidad local governments and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) are working on saving the river.

The DENR suggested use of communal septic tanks to stop discharge effluents from nearby barangays to the river. (RO)
