The three screenings today are few of the series of premiers for the movie, whose commercial release is scheduled on July 9.
Performers in the movie said the film was based on the life story of a teacher in Atok, Benguet, who wants to introduce change in her village by educating members of her tribe, using indigenous materials as teaching aids.
Local talents, composed of the Arte Cordillera, were tapped for the film.
The lead role will be played by Heart Evangelista, with Jao Mapa and other local stars.
Ay-Ayeng was already shown in Macau, Kuwait and Hongkong.
The screenings today are scheduled at 10:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
