Chief Inspector Edgar Apalla, officer-in charge (OIC) of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) regional office in the Cordillera identified the suspects as Jaime Lavarias Tisico, Baltazar Solano Duaquen Jr. and Francisco Abrera Garle.
Apalla said the three were collared, after allegedly selling a nominal amount of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride to a covert agent of the PDEA along Ferguson Road, Central Guisad at 3 p.m. Thursday.
Seized from the trio were six clear heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance proven to be shabu. Each weighed 0.10 grams. They also got the larger sachet weighing 0.50 grams, for a total of 1.10 grams. Apalla added the contraband had a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P6,600 and a street value of P13,200.
The agents were also able to confiscate non-drug evidences like two Nokia 1100 cell phones used for transacting deals, a pair of scissors and a lighter.
The confiscated drugs were submitted to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Crime Laboratory regional office based in Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet for chemical analysis, while the non-drug evidences were put under the safekeeping of their evidence custodian.
