FOUR teams will battle it out when play resumes in the ongoing Baguio-Benguet Educational Athletic League (BBEAL) basketball-men at the University of the Cordilleras (UC) on Wednesday.
The UC Jaguars will try to keep its winning ways as it guns for its third consecutive win when it faces Benguet State University (BSU) at 4:30 p.m.
The Jaguars will rely on its main man Haynes Acdong who is playing in his last year in the league together with James Carlos Domingo who led the team against rival school University of Baguio (UB) in overtime to secure their second win against no defeat.
UC relied on the heroics of Carlo Domingo in overtime to steal a win against UB, 94-92 Sunday evening.
Acdong bulldozed his way to a game-high 27 points to lead the Jaguars while Domingo scored 10 of his 14 points in overtime to lead UC.
The Trinidad-based BSU meanwhile will try to improve its record in men's basketball following a loss against neighboring Cordillera Career Development College in the opening game last Sunday.
In the three-curtain raiser, cellar dwellers Pines City Colleges (PCC) and University of the Philippines (UP)-Baguio will try to score a win in a battle of the underdogs also at the University of the Cordilleras.
PCC absorbed a 92-62 defeat against the University of Baguio during Bbeal's opening games while UP-Baguio proved to be no match against Saint Louis University, 76-41 also during the league's opening game.
