THE local base of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) denied any knowledge on the whereabouts of missing activist James Balao and welcomed the writ of amparo and habeas data (production order) filed by his family.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Thomas Yu-ing, unit commander of the 11th Civil Relations Unit (CRU) based at Camp Henry Allen, Baguio City, said the petition would pave the way for the settlement of the issue through legal means.
