UC, Baguio Ladies win SKF football cup

THE football teams of the University of the Cordilleras (UC) and the Baguio Ladies Team romped off with the championship trophies in the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation (SKF) of Baguio Football Cup Friday.

SKF president and Councilor Gloria Ysabel de Vera said that while both teams came out on top in the Men's and Women's Open Divisions, the championship in the Under 18 Boys' and Girls' Division were taken by the Baguio City National High School and UC, respectively.

Coming in at second and third places in the Men's Open were the football teams of St. Louis University and The Africans.

In the Women's Open, second place went to UC, while the Baguio Ladies Juniors and Irisan got second and third place, respectively, in the Under 18 Girls' Division.

In the Under 18 Boys' Division, the Baguio United Football Club got second place, while UC also got third place.

In the 16 and Under Division, taking the top three spots were BCNHS, Pines City National High School, and Irisan National High School.

In the 14 and Under Division, Camp 7 won the championship followed by the All-Star Football Team at second and Dagsian at third.

In the 12 and Under Division, Quirino Hill Elementary School took the laurels, with the Pinsao Elementary School at second and PCNHS at third.

In the 10 and Under Division, the Don Mariano Elementary School ruled the football grounds, with Bonifacio Elementary School at second and Laurel Elementary School at third.

In the 8 and Under Division, on the other hand, Laurel Elementary School also got second place with Baguio Central School at third. (Ernie N. Olson Jr.)
