Ex-cop busted on drug charges
A FORMER police officer was arrested by Puerto police in a raid at his home in block three, Lot 4 Phase II in Villa Trinitas Barangay Bugo this city at 6:00 a.m. last Monday.
The suspect was identified as 49-year old Victor Donayre, a police officer formerly assigned at the PNP-10 Regional Intelligence Office.
Puerto police chief Senior Insp. Ruel Toga said they spent much time monitoring Donayre's moves and later had positive results on their test buys with the suspect that led them to secure a search warrant.
According to one report, Donayre was dismissed from the service because of the same offense. He was still sleeping when the police contingent arrived at his residence.
Seized from his home were one .38 caliber with six live ammunitions, live ammo of a M203 grenade launcher, seven sachets believed to contain metamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P14,000.
Also taken were cash money worth P5,000 and assorted shabu paraphernalia. The suspect is temporarily detained at the
Maharlika Detention Center and may charges of violating Republic Act 6425 or anti-illegal drug law. |
