Biggest Golden Bell branch in Mindanao opens in Oro By Rubelyn Yap
AFFORDABLE products at unbeatably low prices.
This was how the management of the Golden Bell Grand Center described their offering to the public as they opened to much fanfare Friday.
Eliseo Rosello, the company's assistant general manager said Golden Bell is leading their competitors due to reasonable prices and service they offer to their customers.
"We assure the Cagayanons that the best thing we can offer to them is low price and quality service. We truly have an unbeatable price were nobody can beat us," Rosello said.
The Cagayan de Oro branch located along Capistrano streets is actually the fifth branch of Golden Bell and is considered the biggest among their outlets Mindanaowide.
With four floors and a total floor area of 8,000 square meters Golden Bell Grand Center Cagayan de Oro branch is said to be the biggest of all Golden Bell outlets.
"Our Cagayan de Oro branch is totally different because it is the only branch that we have grocery," Rosello said.
He said they set up their branch in Cagayan de Oro because his company believes that investing in the city is very profitable.
"Cagayan de Oro is a good investment area. The city government is friendly and we are very welcome here," he said.
Councilor Jose Benjamin Benaldo, chairman of the committee on commerce and trade, expressed his elation on the opening of Golden Bell.
"They help a lot in boosting our economy and in promoting our area. They are one of the firms who avail of our investment incentives," he said.
Benaldo said he hopes that the opening of Golden Bell would lead to more investors here. He recounted that Golden Bell rose from humble beginnings in Zamboanga City 55 years ago, dealing in books, office and school supplies.
Today, it has three outlets in Zamboanga City--the Golden Bell Bookstore Express, Golden Bell Super Center and Golden Bell Grand Center.
Five years ago, it opened Golden Bell Grand Center, Davao City. Through the years they established a reputation for being The Low Price Leader in Zamboanga and Davao Cities.
Rosello said Golden Bell's long and rich experience with customer service and satisfaction has allowed it to expand from books to appliances, furniture, housewares and grocery.
He added that they will expand to other cities depending on customer demand. The Golden Bell Grand Center is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
