The President arrived in the city to inaugurate the extension of the reinforced concrete wharf at Macabalan Port after the closing of the 12th Mindanao Business Conference where she was guest of honor and keynote speaker.

The President said 60 of these projects worth US$4.378 billion are located in Northern Mindanao, 19 of which are in the province of Misamis Oriental.
