Man to file raps vs cultist group for son's death By Jenefer Besere
A MAN will file a murder charge against a woman cultist who killed his teenage son in Poblacion, Sagay Camiguin province last week.
The 32-year-old cultist named Consolacion Tabigne, a resident of the place, confessed to killing 13-year-old Jerome Adlaw, claiming he was possessed by an evil spirit.
Adlaw was found dead inside Tabigne's home with his neck, hands and feet tied. Tabigne is now detained at the Sagay police precinct.
In a radio interview, the cultist claimed she never hesitated in killing the teenager because the boy was not from this world.
"Akong gipatay kay dili man to siya bata apuhan man to sa engkanto nga si Maricar Sapa," (I killed him because he was not a kid he was the grandfather of an evil spirit named Maricar Sapa.)
It was noted that in the first part of the interview she was answering the questions straight but after a few moments her answers no longer referred to the questions being asked.
Sagay police officers said the suspect may have lost her sanity but Tabigne insisted she is in good condition and is not out of her mind because she was blessed by the Sto. Niño.
It was reported last week there were four children brought by the suspect to her house. Fortunately all of them managed to escape.
The residents believed her cohorts witnessed how she killed the boy. They said one of them would pray for the intended victim while the others will wait outside so the kids would not get out.
Adlaw's father said he hopes Tabigne would be punished for what she did to his son so she can no longer victimize other kids.
He said he would do his best to include the suspect's father in the case.
