Manila-Oro carnapping mastermind identified
By Lizanilla J. Amarga

THE brains behind the Manila-Cagayan de Oro carnapping has already been identified, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) regional director Virgilio Mendez disclosed Saturday.

This came with reports that NBI 10 has impounded more of the 70 hot cars from Manila that found their way in the city.

Mendez said they already have the name of the "mastermind" behind this Manila-Oro carnapping.

He added that NBI 10is gathering evidence against the carnapping gang and just waiting for the right time to apprehend them.

Mendez believes that this is the group who are facilitating the "manufacture" of documents needed to have these carnapped vehicles easily registered over the local Land Transportation Office.

He said all of their agents including the local Traffic Management Group and the Roads and Traffic Administration have been alerted of the incident.
