Construction of 50-room hotel at Pueblo started
THE Pueblo de Oro Township is experiencing a surge in construction activities, both in its residential and commercial areas.
Koresco, the South Korean resort and hotel development company, started building its 50-room leisure hotel at the Pueblo Golf Estates area on August 25, 2004.
The multi-million-construction project commenced with groundbreaking rites officiated by Monsignor Rodolfo Roa and attended by executives and representatives from Koresco Pueblo de Oro and the main project contractor, BTL Construction. With the structural component of the building projected to be finished by January 2005, the hotel may be completed by third quarter next year.
Over at the Business Park, two ongoing construction projects are also being rushed: the Petron Gasoline Station at the corner of Masterson Avenue and Paseo de Roa, otherwise known as the West Diversion Road, and what is called the "IT" Building.
The latter refers to the one-storey edifice with a total floor area of around 600 square meters which Pueblo is building for possible lease to a call center locator.
It stands on a 1,000 sq. m. lot right beside SM City Mall. The gasoline station, on the other hand, is slated to be completed by December 2004.
Meanwhile, home building activities continue at a steady pace at the various residential villages including Morning Mist Village, Philamlife Village, Golden Glow Village, and San Agustin Valley Homes II.
At the Golf Estates, three new luxury houses have recently been added to the house population of the area. Hillsborough Pointe's first four houses including a model house by Robinson's Homes, Inc. are in various stages of completion.
The horizontal development of Phase I Golden Glow North is also ongoing for completion by November this year while the development of Masterson Mile-South, the office and commercial strip fronting Xavier University campus, is about to start.
