A parade at 1:30 pm signals the opening ceremony which has DepEd-10 regional director Jesus Lazo Taberdo, Cagayan de Oro city mayor Vicente Y. Emano, Misamis Oriental governor Oscar Moreno and CDO's lone district representative Constantino "Tinnex" Jaraula among the distinguished guests.

"I am happy that this regional palaro is jointly hosted by the Division of Cagayan de Oro city, Misamis Oriental and the Department of Education, Regional Office 10.
