Football club falls short of semifinals By Jaime A. Frias
CMOFA-backed Kagayhaan Football Club (KFC) did everything to keep Cagayan de Oro's retention bid alive but fell short from joining the top four semifinals spot of the 2005 VisMin Boracay Beach Football Women's finals, which ended Sunday in the white beaches of Boracay.
KFC posted a win and two draws at the end of the elimination phase and only good enough to land fifth over-all in the annual and prestigious tournament.
"Taas baya ang team og tsansa apan malas gyud," was how KFC coach Eric Miguel described their campaign.
Miguel also complained that the playing area was long which is good enough for 7-aside and not for 5-aside tournament.
"Dili sab anad ang team sa init labina sa udto ug hapon," Miguel added.
KFC is composed of Marna Pabillore, Julie Gerona, Kristine Neri, Leslibelle Macapayad, Cheryll Love Cruz, Maurice Roa and Vanezza Mondero.
