A time-out at the beach! By Abigail Chee Kee-Malalis
SSCDO employees had their time-out at Marvilla beach in Opol
TEN years of struggles and survivals. Ten years of community service, beating deadlines, going after difficult sources, facing insults from them and sometimes criticize the paper. But, alas, all these were survived.
Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro now embarks on its 10th year, surviving the many turmoil our country faces since time immemorial, the sometimes indifference among colleagues which only shows then that amid our busy schedule in meeting deadlines, we still have time to appreciate and criticize each other. And in doing so, may help, in one way or another improve the interrelationship of people in the editorial, administration, marketing and production department (Amen!).
Last Saturday, the employees of Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro took a time-out in a beach spree. A once-in-while respite from the humdrum of the four-cornered, white-painted office, putting aside the usual responsibility each of us is assigned.
Pure relaxation (was it guys?) for us, though our bosses Sir Stephen and Sir Junhan failed to attend (of course, they were already forgiven, hu...hu). Thanks to Ma'am Liezl who was very kind, indeed, to offer her service for those who somewhat became tipsy after a nth glass of "agua de pataranta."
See you next year, guys, for another year of unyielding service!
