Young Pabillore eyes RP Team slot
MICHAEL Pabillore, the 20-year-old pride of Liceo de Cagayan University, is bidding to become the next Pabillore (after Kakay, Joey and Marna) to make it to the Philippine team.
And deeply inspired by his own string of success in Laguna Open, Cebu Open and Cagayan de Oro Prisaa where he lorded it over in the 65 kilogram, Michael expressed optimism as he looked forward to the RP Team's selection tourney in February next year in Davao city.
One thing, however, that quite bothered him at the moment is the young karateka's indecision whether to stick to his fighting weight or move down to the 60 kilogram.
"When it comes to the big fight like the Philippine Open, medyo gamay ko sa akong mga kontra sa 65 kilogram. But the problem is gakaluya ko if mag-reduce while lagsik ug kusgan ko sa akong regular nga timbang," confided a bit confused Michael who has been under the wings of his uncle and adviser JP Pabillore.
