BUTUAN CITY -- Heavy rains that hit Caraga Region since December 22, which flooded low-lying communities, affected 9,972 persons or 2,058 families and damaging local infrastructures, crops, and livestock estimated at P30 million.
Eugene Cabrera, acting regional director of the Office of the Civil Defense in Caraga Region, said while citing a partial disaster operations report that the flooding has affected 37 barangays in seven towns here including Surigao City.
