Youth Mindanao business congress opens Friday
* Xavier U hosting Congress
CONTINUING the legacy of challenging and equipping the youth with the skills to help build an improved business environment in Mindanao and in the country, Xavier University will host the 2nd Mindanao Business and Management Youth Congress starting February 3 until February 5, 2006 at Xavier Sports and Country Club in Cagayan de Oro.
With this year's theme of "Boosting Mindanao Competitiveness by Enhancing the Youth's Competencies," the 2nd congress aims to:
* develop a keen awareness on relevant business issues affecting Mindanao and respond creatively on these matters;
* provide a venue for skills training and enhancement in the field of business, entrepreneurship, and management;
* create strong linkages and intensified partnership among business-related schools in Mindanao.
The Mindanao Business and Management Youth Congress is the first major youth congress focusing on business and management in Mindanao.
Organized and hosted by the School of Business and Management of Xavier University-Ateneo de CAgayan, MBMYC brings together students and teachers in the fields of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Management.
During the first congress last year, the MBMYC was able to gather 600 students and teachers from more than 30 colleges and universities in the island.
