SMS invites you all! By Martina Jugador
THE hills are alive with the sound of music! Exult once again for tradition meets legacy and music meets the stage in this delightful display of utter passion and talents.
Expect the sounds of famous songs such as "Edelweiss," "My Favorite Things," "Climb Every Mountain," "Do-Re-Mi," "Sixteen Going On Seventeen," and "The Lonely Goatherd" as well as "The Sound of Music" to be reverberating in the halls of St. Mary's School, Mandumol, Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City.
After the first three play dates, St. Mary's is still inviting you to watch The Sound of Music this coming February 10, 11, and 12 with the venue in the school itself.
Boasting an array of excellent actors and beautiful music, St. Mary's School is proud to present yet another annual play.
This tradition has been practiced since the school started in 1987 for the Dr. Michael A. Costello Scholarship Foundation with the help of the General Parents-Teachers Association and the Maskara Dramatics Club.
The main point of this yearly project is to convey passion and love for hard work and, of course, to be the main source of funds for scholars to enter the prestigious school.
The Sound of music is the story of Maria, a nun, who left an Austrian convent to become a governess for a Naval officer widower's seven children.
A great story will be unraveled on stage, so this play is definitely something to look forward to, as most of the seasoned Maskara members would say.
Inviting you all, young and young at heart, we welcome you to watch The Sound of Music -- a theatrical performance that will leave you awestruck and fascinated by the students themselves from the grade school department to the high school department. You won't regret it.
