Customs collection exceeds target

MARVIN Mison, deputy collector of the Bureau of Customs in Northern Mindanao, reported that their office was able to collect P2 billion last year, which is 52 percent higher than the P1.3 billion projected target.

Mison vowed to entice more investors and importers.

Congratulations to the graduates of 2006! Post your graduation experiences and greetings here.

"We will try our best to invite more investors and importers, as well as give them the best service we could offer, for us to continue collecting more taxes," he said.

He added, "We are not concerned only of collections, we also have some projects in support of the efforts of the President."

Mison said the customs bureau would soon be launching a foundation. (Trends)
