Fayeed Tan's album takeoff

THERE was an incredible display of serious musical mastery last November 25, 2006 at 4 p.m. at the Limketkai Rotunda as Fayeed Tan launched his first album "Di na mag-iisa."

People came in small crowds as the CDs sold like hotcakes during the recess on a high school cafeteria. The band's undeniable abilities to complement each other's skills kept the audience crooned and sang his way to everyone's heart.

The crowd responded really well to his easily relatable songs. I even caught a number of them mouthing the lyrics to his more popular radio hit tunes. His first music video, "Di na Mag-iisa," with the stunning Stephanie Sol (Miss Teen Philippines, 2004) had just come out the previous week, so it wasn't much of a surprise that his fans knew his songs by heart already.

The mayor of Cagayan de Oro City, Mayor Vicente Emano, and Dunkin Donuts couldn't resist sending over congratulatory accolades, which made it inarguable that truly Fayeed Tan has earned his place among those that the city most endears.

What is more inarguable though is that from here on he will only continue to go places with his rhythmic and lyrical finesse - bringing honor and pride and the representation of Filipino talent wherever his music takes him.

His album "Di na Mag-iisa" is now available at Musicvision, Ma-an Video, Modtrade Limketkai, Gaisano, SM City Cagayan de Oro.
