A FREE seminar on health and wellness will be conducted February 24, at the Pilgrim Christian College auditorium at 1 to 5 p.m. with Ms. Juliet Cortuna, health and wellness guru and a paramedic specialist.

"This is a Mindanao-wide campaign on health awareness, teaching and giving the public proper care on one's health," Ms. Cortuna said. "We were at Pagadian City last February 18, Butuan on February 20 and on February 25, we'll be at Iligan City," she added.

Ms. Cortuna, also a co-founder of A TEACHER, has been visiting different key cities nationwide, giving free consultations/seminars to the public. "I am always willing to reach out to people, especially in the rural areas, giving them free lectures/seminars on health and wellness, which is for me, one aspect that should be well taken cared of," Ms Cortuna added. One of the major program/component of A TEACHER, a non-profit and professional organization of teachers/school personnel, is the prevention of sickness.

Here in Cagayan de Oro, barangay health workers from the 80 barangays are expected to join the consultation/seminar today. Lots of giveaways will be given to the participants and raffle prizes of P5,000, P3,000 and P2,000 will be given away for the 1st, second and 3rd winners, respectively.

The health and wellness consultation/seminar of Ms. Juliet Cortuna, was sponsored by RLR Squalene and friends of A TEACHER. (Abigail C. Malalis)
