IT MAYBE one of the finest sail, mixed with business and pleasure...as Gothong Southern launched recently one of their newest fleet, the MV Dona Rita Sr.
It made its maiden voyage last March 2, departing at the Macabalan Pier here in Cagayan de Oro going to Cebu, Capiz, Panay, Roxas City, and Dumaguit/Caticlan - the gateway to Boracay - which is only a 20 minute drive.
MV Dona Rita Sr. is the first passenger vessel of Gothong Southern, it has four cabins with toilet and bath to accommodate at least four persons, one suite and another two 10-person capacity cabin-type. Tourist/Business room can accommodate up to 296 persons plus 216-person capacity in their economy type. A ship medic is also available to answer health problems while onboard.
Their state-of-the-art home theater entertainment gives relaxation while on board.
It will link Cagayan de Oro and Northern Mindanao to other parts of the country, especially on one of the country's famous tourist destination, Boracay, with a hassle free trip in their drive-sail experience since you can sail while tugging along your own car. Passage Rate ranges from P769 for the economy; P899 for Business Class; P1,149 for the Cabin; and P2,799 for the Suite (good for two persons).
Mv Dona Rita Sr. departs Cagayan de Oro every Friday and arrives in Boracay on Sunday. Southern Gothong proudly adopts and supports the tourism industry through adopting the WOW Tourism concept of the Department of Tourism.
