Tuesday, May 15, 2007 Smart launches 1st mall-based Internet cafe in Bukidnon
AS PART of its commitment to make high-speed broadband Internet access available throughout the country, leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) set up an Internet cafe, the Smart Click Internet and More in Valencia, Bukidnon.
The Bukidnon branch is the 22nd branch nationwide and is the first mall-based Click cafe, located at the 3rd level of NVM Mall.
Smart Click Internet cafes are either housed in a 40-foot container van or located in a commercial space.
While the van and non-van packages offer the same services, the non-van package is applicable for entrepreneurs who already have an idle shop or establishment in a high-traffic area.
The non-van package is also advisable if the community is not accessible in terms of shipping the van and if the franchisee does not have an empty lot where the van could be placed.
The cafes are equipped with 15 rentable top-of-the-line computers with up-to-date specifications and complete software licenses. They serve as one-stop digital shops in places with limited or no provisions for high-speed Internet and other related computer and desktop publishing services such as photo and document printing, gaming, among others. Smart Click is powered by Smart Bro, the wireless broadband service of Smart.
Valencia City is a 4th class city in the province of Bukidnon with a population of 147,924 people in 28,425 households according to the 2000 Census. It is the fifth Smart Click branch in Mindanao.
Aside from being an Internet cafe, Smart Click can also act as an e-learning facility for students, government employees, and local entrepreneurs.
