Off to Singapore
By Nena Neri Hernandez
R.S.V.P

AFTER resting for five days here in CDO, off we left again for Singapore and Malaysia, this time with younger friends of Girlie.

From Manila we did not go to a hotel since our flight was just 4 hours away. We went to Harrison Plaza to buy a few things to bring with us.

We traveled straight to Singapore and business class at that! PAL called us and gave us gate passes for the upgrade...Social!

We arrived in Singapore at twilight. Between 6:00-6:30 but there was a gentleman who met us with a van and drove us off to our hotel, Hotel Royale, at Queens.

The hotel was very near Bugis, where we shopped. Girlie has arranged our tours.
I take my hat off to Girlie in matters like this. She certainly knows what to do, and very thorough at that!

Since Malaysia was just less than an hour away, we also booked ourselves for a tour there.

Dulce Reyes and I were kidding each other that we wanted to see Malaysia and their ruler since he is one of the richest men (we can dream can't we?). Of course we know it's not that easy!

We had a date with Ely and daughter Sandy, who works for Cebu Pacific there (an expat) to meet at our hotel...With Ely and Sandy were Tillie Pacheco, Vicky Yap and of course Sandy.

We had a very funny experience in Singapore...going up and down the escalators!

Ely wanted to show us their Makati but we had to go up and down...up and down and at my age, "nalipong ko!"

Had to ask from Ely hot soup and after a while just sat down and waited until everybody was finished with their meals.

Coming home, we stayed overnight at Shalom, in Malate and we were very comfortable. The young ones still went out but I begged off. I had a hot bath with dinner I bought at Robinsons earlier and slept until we were ready to come home!

All I can say is 'Thank God, You allowed me to travel and enjoy with the young ones and gave me my wishing star.
