Upon assuming office early this month, Montalba has embarked on a massive saturation drives against suspected criminals, resulting to the arrests of 143 suspects who have previous police records.

The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) has also introduced the "incentive scheme," to entice police personnel and civilians to fight criminality.

Arroyo is scheduled to address the 1st Jatropha Mindanao Forum at Grand Caprice Convention Center and Restaurant.

The event is organized is spearheaded by the Philippine National Oil Company-Alternative Fuels Corporation which targets to develop 500 hectares of open, marginal, idle and under-developed lands into Jatropha curcas model plantation and seed orchard in Barangays Lumbia, Canitoan and Pagatpat.

Jatropha oil is a vegetable oil produced from the seeds of the Jatropha curcas, which is an alternative fuel source.
