Yellow Zen eyes to firm up lead in club 92 tilt

RELYING on team-work play, Yellow Zen battles Gray Starless Tuesday night with the hope of sustaining its streak and finishing first in the first round elimination of Club 92 caging here at Macasandig gym.

The preliminary action will be followed by the equally interesting bout between Blue Panthers and Red Dragons at 8:30 p.m.

Online memorial for Cebu's Nenita "Inday Nita" Daluz. Post testimonials here.

"Walay star `ning among team pero mao ni akong ganahan nga linya win or lose," said Gray's team-playing manager Bobax Echalico in their bid to end Yellow's winning streak.

Last Friday's double-header saw Green Lancers frustrating the Black Spiders' fiery effort to put an end to their losing spell, even as the Deña (Celbon and Jiji) bothers' presence at Orange's starting five proved too tough to handle for the Jongjong Vallecera and Bembot Padilla-led White Sharks.

The struggling Spiders came close to finally barging in the win circle when they forced a 71-all deadlock in the pay-off period. But the breaks of the game went to Green which obviously outlasted Black in the rebounding department.

The do-it-all Boning Biongcog came up with 37 points for Black's losing cause, while starting point guard Carlo Panugaling added 11 markers.

Totoy Cortez and Richard Chavez paced Green with 24 and 17 points each.

"Kon naa lay sentro kusog kaayo sila. Lisod timplahan ilang linya kay lima kabuok ang guwardiya pero hapit pa gani nila na-upset ang Green," the spectators could say after witnessing Black's third loss in a row.
