Mr. Brandon is a noted musicologist and pianist. His principal teacher was the Chopin Laureate Zbigniew Grzybowski. For 20 years, he was professor of Piano at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

He was also a professor at the University of Wales for 12 years. Since 1995 he has been associated with the main music schools in the Philippines, namely, St. Scholastica's College, University of the Philippines, Siliman University and the University of Santo Tomas, where he has given numerous Master Classes and Lecture Recitals. He also coaches the Clarion Chamber Ensemble and introduces their programs by providing annotations.

Mr Brandon's program at Rodelsa Hall is a wide repertoire embracing composers from Bach to the present day to include Book 1 of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, Preludes and Fugues.

Well-Tempered Clavier is a feast of tools and techniques, a paradise of inversion, augmentation, and every other contrapuntal device. It represents the summa of Baroque technique, not heard with such clarity or consistency before.
