Saturday, April 05, 2008 Housing for disabled launched
ORO Habitat for Humanity Philippines and Cagayan de Oro Lions Club will launch Saturday its joint housing project for the disabled at City Relocation Site, Calaanan, Barangay Canitoan.
The project will build no less than 30 houses at Phase II of the City Relocation Site at the said area.
The period for volunteer work will last up to July 31.
During these days, groups and individuals who want to do volunteer work for the project can come anytime during the period for volunteer work.
Arrangements can be made with any of the contact persons for the project.
Volunteers are requested to bring their own provisions. Working tools can be borrowed at the site but skilled volunteers are asked to bring their own tools.
Groups and individuals are invited to donate cash for the building of additional houses.
They are also encouraged to donate construction materials for the building of additional houses.
The following construction materials are those most useful to the project: Portland cement, sand, gravel, crushed sand, 10mm x 6mm def. steel bars, C purlins 2"x3"x0.9mm, angle bar 1 1/2"x1 1/2"x3/16", ga. 26 corrugated GI sheets 12 feet, window jamb with jalousy, door jambs with flush door, water closet porcelain and coco lumber 2"x2"x10".
