Wednesday, April 16, 2008 Cebuana artist featured at Cagayan de Oro mall
FIRST, there was her cool wearable artwork. Now it's her exquisite hand-painted ostrich eggs with a touch of Pinoy. What's next for Cebuana artist Nanette Nacorda-Catigbe?
Let her surprise you with the latest way she has redefined art in her first ever art exhibit at Robinson's Mall Cagayan de Oro City from April 24 to 30.
This is Nanette's art in its most creative form -- from beautiful, hand-painted ostrich eggs, clothes and bags to life on colorful canvass.
The rare exhibit is Nanette's way of reaching out to supporters and art enthusiasts who have long requested for her to come up with a show.
Her wearable art, including hand-painted floral barongs, wedding dresses, shirts and skirts, are also available at Joyful Weddings in SM City Cebu and at Cameron's boutique in Cagayan de Oro City.
Guess where her hand-painted designs went? To the closets of trendy teens and yuppies, politicians and their wives and even former president Cory Aquino, no less.
Which just goes to show, Nanette Nacorda's pieces are timely and timeless. They're art you want to keep. (Press release)
