TEAM 4 completed its remarkable run in capturing the crown of Bulua Sutsun Basketball Club 2nd Winner Take All Tournament last Sunday at Bulua Gym in Cagayan de Oro.
With only 4 players left in the remaining minutes of the championship game, Team 4 showed everyone that miracles do happen by orchestrating a scintillating 50-48 victory.
The slippery Dodong "the Flash" Legaspi spearheaded the unexpected Team 4 romp-off, scoring almost in all angles of the court.
He finished with 16 points, backstopped by the ageless Popoy "The triggerman" Tagapulot who sank in three attempts from the rainbow arch that broke the solid zone defense of Team 4. Maagad, Masing and Caballero contributed 4, 6 and 9 points each to complete the balanced scoring attack. Epondulan, Tagapulot and Daing led the losing cause of Team 4.
Before taking the championship ring, Team 3 upsets the Bobby Diaz-led Team 6 with a score of 55-51.
This year's Bulua Sutsun Basketball Club is under the leadership of Peter "Peter J" Jarap with promises of more exciting tournaments that would benefit all its members.
